The Race of the Ancient Maritime Republics is a sporting event of historical re-enactment with the aim of recalling the exploits and rivalry of the most famous Italian maritime republics: those of Amalfi, Pisa, Genoa and Venice. The Galleon Regatta begins at the Gardens of St. Elena at 6.00 pm up to the Campo della Salute.
