Every year millions of visitors are attracted by events of worldwide resonance in Venice. One of these events – perhaps the most significant for the history of Venice – is the “Festa de la Sensa (Ascension)”, which more than any other appointment brings to life the millenary history of the Serenissima, its intimate relationship with the Sea and with practice of the “Voga alla Veneta”.
On this day Venice renews – with the rite of marriage with the sea – its link with the water element thus recalling the centuries-old history that saw it protagonist on the seas in innumerable events.
